My heartfelt thanks to all of you that supported my giving back initiative for February, FoodShare February. We were able to give over $325 in cash and lots of non-perishable food items to those in need. I am so happy to be able to give back in celebration of my 40 year Rolfing® career.
To give back to the community, Sharon has created a year-long series of monthly causes to showcase, support and build awareness. “Foodshare” February had Sharon and her clients collecting non-perishable food items as well as contributing money to help feed our neighbors in need. The on-going need is everpresent. Foodshare is a definitely a worthy cause.
During a pandemic, celebrating the milestone of 40 years of Rolfing® has posed a challenge to Sharon Sklar, Certified Advanced Rolfer. Her work is all about helping people feel their best by direct manipulation of the connective tissue of the body which results in relief of chronic pain, better stability and increased flexibility. Due to COVID-19, her volunteer affiliations have been curtailed at both Hartford Hospital as a Pet Therapy Team with her two dogs and as a mentor in the West Hartford Public Schools.
